This vibrant mural was created during Sprocket Mural Works’ 2017 mural festival by the New York City artist Key Detail, who was born and raised in Belarus. He created the piece with his wife.

It is a commentary on the transformative power of art and the importance of recycling and renewal.

The piece depicts muted gray, black, and white trash entering a vortex – then emerging out of the swirl, reborn in color. The piece represents the beauty of turning waste into energy.
