The Pollinators

Artist
Gloria Jean Martin
Location
1330 North 3rd Street, Harrisburg, PA

Harrisburg artist Gloria Jean Martin created “The Pollinators” to bring attention to the importance of bees and other pollinators, whose population is declining amid climate change. The mural is located in Patrick Alley, which runs behind the Third Street shops in Midtown, nearby the Broad Street Market. It features floral designs, bees and butterflies to match Pocket Park’s gardens of native pollinator-friendly plants — donated by Manada Conservancy and maintained by Friends of Midtown volunteers. “The Pollinators” was made possible with a sponsorship from the the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) .
