The Future of Penbrook

A montage of young faces comprise a new mural on the Penbrook Borough administrative, overlooking the Elm Street Station Park playground. First-time muralist Sarah Fogg of Harrisburg based the mural design on photographs of actual Penbrook children who attended the borough’s summer camp. The mural’s theme of children was the top choice of local residents surveyed.

“My approach is to use bright colors, so that the mural looks happy. I want to do these kids justice and make sure they’re proud of seeing their faces up on the wall. These kids represent the future of their community.”

I was born and raised in Harrisburg, PA and that is where I currently reside. I went to Penn State in State College and graduated with an Art Education degree. I am now an Art Teacher and I love sharing my passion of art with others. I love experimenting with different mediums such as watercolor, clay, ink, pastels, and markers. However, painting with oil and acrylic is my favorite.
