“This mural is a recreated version of a painting in a series I created titled: Orbital Bones. I like to imagine that my art depicts a different dimensional plain and that these skulls are entering that plain very abruptly. The original series and a majority of my recent work uses fluorescents.”

Eric Tonzola

Lancaster-based artist and designer Eric Tonzola has transitioned from a professional graphic designer into a versatile multidisciplinary artist, fusing 13+ years of design experience with painting and illustrating. He gravitates towards whimsical and conceptual styles, including surrealism, pop, and abstract art, often experimenting with techniques like limited color palettes, fluorescent pigments, and optical illusions. Passionate about painting, Eric currently resides as an artist at Switchboard Studios & Gallery in Columbia, PA. His portfolio includes creating murals for organizations like MFE: Music For Everyone, Columbia Kettle Works, and Pita Chip, as well as contributing as an illustrator to projects like "La Encantadas: The Enchanted Isles" and book covers for "The Long Road" and "The Minutemen."
